Summer at Kew Gardens, London
A couple of weekends ago, summer seemed to return for a fleeting moment and we were greeted once again with beautiful sunshine and blue skies. It sounds cheesy, but you could literally smell summer in the air!
We took the opportunity for a trip to Kew Gardens for our second instalment of 'Kew throughout the seasons', (which is looking to be spread across a few years at this rate!). We spent the day exploring the quieter areas of Kew that we don't usually visit and left the glasshouses for the end of our visit, when the crowds had died down and the light was just right.
Everything had such vibrancy to it and felt even more tropical with the heat of summer. The light bounced gloriously off of the foliage in the Palm House and we loved the tropical rainforest feel that can be found deep within the Princess of Wales Conservatory.
Take a look at our Autumn visit to Kew here.
