Nomura International Rooftop Garden, EC4, London
The garden atop the Nomura International building on Angel Lane wasn't on our initial list of gardens to visit. However, while we were at the Evershed roof garden around the corner, we were told we couldn't miss out on visiting the garden for it's spectacular views and amazing landscaped gardens.
Once we arrived at the building, we were shown into a glass lift that took us up to the rooftop on the sixth floor. We were amazed with how large the gardens were- the size of six tennis courts to be exact! The views were stunning and we loved how water features had been interwoven with the garden that reflected the light and the city landscapes surrounding it.
The gardens are professionally maintained but also include areas for growing vegetables and edible flowers that are maintained by volunteers. The vegetables are used in house by chefs and any left over are available for staff to buy with the money going to charity.
We loved the vastness of this garden and spent a good twenty minutes just wandering through and taking in the scenery surrounding the garden.
