Our second visit of the weekend was to Ravenscourt Glasshouses which are situated in Ravenscourt Park in Hammersmith. This is a park I often walk through to catch the tube and the glasshouses have always caught my eye through the iron gate. When I saw they were going to be open as part of the Open Squares Weekend, I made sure they were scheduled into my visit!

There are two large glasshouses here with a small surrounding walled garden featuring a white painted bee hive. They were restored by the local gardening community with help from the council after they fell into disrepair. The glasshouses are huge, they are also used regularly for Gardening projects for adults with learning disabilities as well as local school visits and even hot yoga classes! We had to be quick taking our photos as within a minute the heat in here was too much!

if you're interested in doing a yoga class in the glasshouses, there's more information here
