Chiswick House & Gardens, London, UK
Chiswick Gardens are the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. We often take the parents there when they come up to visit and a walk around the grounds always ends with a trip to the coffee shop there.
Our most recent visit was on a sunny June afternoon, with parents in tow we meandered through the Gardens, crossing through scented rose shrubs, woodland paths and finally to the Italian style gardens. The conservatory is usually home to what is thought to be the oldest collection of Camellia's in England. Unfortuntaly, our visit was out of season for the Camellia's but we were still impressed by the stunning light that entered the greenhouse and cast amazing shadows on the floor.
Chiswick Gardens are free to visit and the grounds are open 7am to dusk everyday. The house costs £7.20 to visit and is open Sunday-Wednesday.
